The Stewards of Cole's Woods Since 1978
Our Mission
The Friends of Cole’s Woods not only fosters and promotes cross country skiing but also supports the wide range of recreational activities that occur seasonally and annually within Cole’s Woods. By providing much of the maintenance and improvements within Cole’s Woods, the Friends demonstrates its commitment to encourage the continued free and public recreational use of the Park.
Who We Are
Founded in 1978, the Friends of Cole’s Woods, Inc. is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization. All members serve the organization voluntarily, and they recognize the value of having a trail system and woodland accessible to so many in the local communities. To that end, individuals who become members tend to be outdoor enthusiasts committed to ensuring the trails remain safe for the public, groomed in the winter for Nordic skiing and maintained for other seasonal activities.
